Illinois Governor sliding down slippery slope

Maybe this latest foray that Blago is treading down will be the one that sends him over the edge. It appears the Governor is now interferring with the workings of the Attorney General and her office and that could land his administration in serious trouble with the Federal Courts.

Lisa Madigan, Illinois Attorney General hired an outside law firm to represent the Department of Transportation in several lawsuits that were filed by former employees of the department; who claim among other things that they were fired to make room for the Gov's groupies.

Well, as it turns out, the law firm filed a leave to withdraw with the court; so, Madigan acting as the head attorney for the State of Illinois directed the law firm to send her office all the files on the cases and she would reassign it to another firm.

They refused. Uh what was that again? An attorney refusing to follow the directions of the client? Which by the way is the Attorney General. The lead attorney for the department told the law firm in a memo not to turn over the files and to refuse the order.

Now some background here is important, remember that I said the lawsuits were due to former employees being terminated to make room for butt boys' political groupies; now, Lisa Madigan opened an investigation into the administrations actions as it relates to the hiring and firing of employees.

Considering that these lawsuits deal with the same thing that she is investigating it makes one wonder what in the hell are they hiding? hmmmmm Rod, I think your administration is starting to come apart at the seams bubba....and it could not happen to a nicer guy :)

Would someone shut her up!

I am absolutely sick to death of listening to that left wing, moronic split tail Cindy Sheehan run off at her lips.

Turns out the whore of anti-protestors could not buy land in Crawford on her own (BECAUSE NOBODY THERE WANTS HER SORRY ASS AROUND) so what does the whore do? She sends in someone else to do her dirty work.

I have no problem with war protestors as long as they do it in a fair manner, what I do not appreciate is her lack of civility and if someone bitch slapped her into the next century I would be willing to contribute funds to their defense.

Now, before someone claims I am inciting violence against this stupid bitch, let me make it clear that I do not advocate anyone causing her any personal or bodily harm.

That does not mean that I cannot relish in the thought that shutting her up once and for all would do us all a world of good.

Does she really think she is the only one who has lost someone? Her own son wanted to serve, he made it clear that he truly believed in the Iraqi mission so what place is it of hers to question that?

She does her own son more disgrace with her actions, and have you noticed that the media does not give a single line to his father? Who by the way has supported his son and his decision to return to Iraq.

So I say, "Would someone please shut this whore up?"

DUI Judge gets off with supervision

17th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Steven Nordquist who was arrested for DUI on June 30, 2006 received only a fine and 1 year of court supervision for pleading guilty.

I frankly do not care if that is the standard sentence for 1st time offenders in the 17th circuit; judges should be held to a higher standard.

Shame on Judge Jack Joyce for pandering to an associate. This case should have been moved to a different circuit to at the very least, remove any appearance of favoritisim.

Its time to fire CWLP Exec's

It is time now to fire the CWLP executives for their behind the closed door agreement with the Sierra Club without consulting the Springfield City Council or notifying the public.

Not to mention that the Illinois Attorney General should investigate them for violating the open meeting law.

I do not care how much cancelling the agreement will cost me, I refuse to be held hostage by this terrorist group.

I am putting all Alderman on notice, if you vote for this agreement I will personally donate the maximum allowed under law to any candidate that opposes you at your next reelection. In addition, I will personally volunteer for each of those campaigns to see you defeated.

Abbott & Costello

Someone sent me a cd set of Abbott & Costello for my birthday. I have a sneaky idea who it is, but I will leave that detail for a later time.

The older I get the more I have come to enjoy some of these older radio programs. It got my thinking about when I was a kid I used to listen to WBBM (Chicago) and the CBS Radio Mystery Theatre.

Those were the days.....damn, I am really starting to show my age now!

Storms tonight

We had quite a few storms run through the area tonight. For a while they had us under a severe thunderstorm storm warning, a tornado warning and a flash flood watch. I was thinking to myself at the time, the only thing missing is a hurricane warning!

For once the local weather reporting was accurate, which even at 10% is still a better percentage of being right than our moronic Governor Blago.

I am no Judy Barr Topinka fan, but I sincerely hope she kicks his ass this fall. Blago has been a disaster for this State despite his BS press releases.

Not Guilty by reason of Insanity

Well the Andrea Yates jury returned a verdict of "Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity". Well duh, any mother that MURDERS her five children is insane. That does ** NOT ** mean that she is not guilty.

This trial got me thinking about how the insanity defense is inappropriately used and how it is confusing to a jury. I have a better idea.

There is no doubt that some people just are not aware of what they are doing when they commit a crime; that does not mean they should be exonerated, just that the punishment should be matched to their mental state and capacity at the time of the crime.

So, to solve the issue of potentially letting a guilty person go free, we should no longer consider insanity as a defense to the crime itself; rather, it should be used as a mitigating circumstance during the penalty phase of the trial.

Case in point with Andrea Yates. The trial should simply determine where or not Andrea Yates committed the crim of murder, which is the intentional killing of another human being. On that point, there is no question, she is guilty.

However, it is possible that her mental condition at the time was such that she should not be placed in prison for the rest of her life. So, during the penalty phase the defense can use her mental awareness and capacity as a mitigating factor.

This way we allow a judge to more appropriately determine the sentence and penalty and allow the jury to do their job correctly, which is to determine innocence or guilt.

Everyone wins; howevere, I would suspect that the ABA would oppose this proposal, which only goes to show you their level of stupidity.

Getting Old

I must be getting old these days, not only can I no longer convince a woman that I am only 26, but my vision has gone into the crapper.

I have been wearing glasses since I was about 6 years old and I have not had my eyes examined in a couple of years and with the condition of my current pair, and the fact I could not read with them (too blurry) I decided to go ahead and get them checked.

Well as it turns out, vision is the other thing that goes bad with age....I now get to join the ranks of those wearing bifocals.

I guess there is no way to convince anyone with these damn things that I am only 26.

At least I can see a bit better so when some lunatic Democrat starts issuing BS press releases I will be able to read them intelligently.

Howard Dean has no backbone

Mr. Howard Dean, the dean of the Democratic Party, has finally admitted he has absolutely no backbone when it comes to standing up for what is right and wrong. Dean has finally allowed his true colors to shine through as brightly as the morning sun.

Mr. Dean has also made it quite clear that the standard for Democrats is far different from that of a Republican.

Rep. William Jefferson of Louisiana has been embattled with the Justice Department since the overnight raid of his office. The Department claims to have a video tape of Mr. Jefferson taking a bribe and although he has not been charged or indicted at this juncture, I would suspect that they are attempting to strengthen their case against him.

Mr. Dean has refused to even discuss the matter regarding Mr. Jefferson; however, he has not shown Republicans the same consideration.

He called for Tom Delay's resignation long before he was indicted and he has also called for the resignation of Majority Leader Bill Frist, even though he himself has not been charged with or indicted for any suspected crime.

Now why is that Mr. Dean? Are you afraid of offending the black masses in Louisiana? If it is good for the goose its good for the gander Mr. Dean. You claim to be the answer to the Republicans culture of corruption, yet you do not apply the same standard to the Democrats as the Republicans. It is all about politics Mr. Dean and now we know for sure that you are nothing more than a mouth piece - a loud screaming mouth piece with nothing relevant to say.

This bimbo irritates me more than the ex wife. I have to ask the question even though I know how stupid it is, but does this bitch really believe that everyone who is charged with a crime is guilty?

It is apparent from her bullshit that she does not believe that an innocent person can be mistakenly charged with a crime. Before the evidence is presented or a jury hears the case, this slut convicts them on her program.

What truly begs the question is what in the hell makes her an expert? Her boyfriend was killed? She is a lawyer? Gimme a break; I can name a hundred lawyers who have forgotten more than she will ever know and as for women who have had their boyfriend murdered, what is that number? 10,000? a Million? Certainly more than you or I would care to count.

Explaining a Blog

I wonder if I am the only one that knows how difficult it is to explain to a non-computer person what a blog is? I was talking to a friend of mine, Tom E, from Colorado today trying to explain what a blog is, I really do not think it sunk in. Although he is a horseman and therefore liked the pics of Dawn and her horse (or pony as she so eloquently likes to call him).

Then again, I think Tom was more interested in Dawn than the horse :)

Decided I would pack up the camera equipment and head out for a bit this afternoon and attempt to get some additional photos. Is life not grand?

Definitely one of those days

I was talking to a friend of mine this morning who just happens to ** NOT ** be Jewish. Although I know he meant no harm and certainly is not anti-sematic, but sometimes I think he brain goes haywire and he forgets about history.

I reminded him that the United Nations resolution 181 in 1947 called for the creation of both Israel and Palestine, and were it not for the likes of Syria, Egypt, and all other Arab nations immediately attacking Israel this issue of the Palestinians would have been settled long ago. Lest we also forget that Israel has been withdrawing from Gaza and other settlements in an attempt to acquire peace.

Has it worked? Not one bit. We need to remember also that there are several countries like Iran, Syria that still to this day are calling for the complete destruction of Israel. How in the name of humanity can peace be achieved when you have players that refuse to even acknowledge Israel and its right of existence?

Quite frankly I am tired of the appeasement route and attempting to gain peace with concessions. The only true way to acquire peace is with the destruction of the enemy. So I have no problem with Israel and their current attempt in rooting out the terrorist group Hezbulla. Everyone needs to remember that for the Israelis this is a fight for their very existence, a fight that all of us would engage if we were in a position similar to theirs.

Mark and I ended the conversation on a positive note, especially when he finally conceded that it was Hezbulla and its actions that started this latest barrage.

Cool morning

I am thinking that maybe the heat wave is taking a break for a change. We have had several weeks of high humidity and temperatures, but it definitely feels a good 15 degrees cooler outside this morning. Now that could be because the humidity is down, the temp dropped overnight or my legs are still too warm from the bed.

Off to the grocery store, need a few items, then its breakfast, MY MORNING COFFEE, and a little retro television before I start the day.

Analysis: Illinois has worst fiscal health in nation

I was just reading the online version of the Rockford Register Star about the fiscal condition of the State of Illinois and I got hopping mad!

Gov. Rod Blagojevich has increased spending in this state over 70% since he took office. THAT IS THE FLIPPIN REASON WE ARE STILL IN DEBT!

All that idiot wants to do is blame it on his predecessors. Well As for Roddy bow and his butt boy John Filan, I say run 'em both out of the State on a freight rail; preferrably to New Jersey or some other shithole.

I am tired of listening to this idiot play the blame game on everything and refuses to admit that if he would have just limited his spending increases to the inflation rate he would have been able to claim a BALANCED BUDGET!

Andrea Yates Murder Trial

It is a not so well kept secret that as I have quickly reached that age where everyone around me appears younger, where I can no longer run like a jack rabbit and where spare tires seem to follow me everywhere I go; I have come to the conclusion that the death penalty is applied capriciously and in cases where it is not warranted. These conclusions are simply based upon the evidence, and not any personal connection with the cases.

Case in point (which will probably piss off a ton of women in the world) - Scott Peterson. Here we have a case where there is no eyewitness testimony, no blood evidence, no forensic evidence that directly ties him to the murder, no confession, - ala a case that in my legal viewpoint did not even reach the pinnacles of CONVICTION let alone a death sentence.

Now, I am not a complete idiot (on most days that is), and I harbor no illusions about the type of man Scott Peterson has become. However, do we put a man to death after a conviction based upon innuendos, triped up commentary from a whore, and from a mother who wants someone to pay?

The bottom line is this case had nothing.

Now, let us move on to the Andrea Yates murder trial. Here we have a woman who killed not one, not two, nor three, or four of her kids, but murdered FIVE!!!!! of her own children and ADMITTED it. Was she crazy? I do not believe there is any doubt on that question. Is she bi-polar? After watching my ex-wife Betty Z, I have absolutely no doubt on that question either. The question is did she know it was wrong? Well, I might give her the benefit of the doubt if she had stopped with one, or even two; but, let us remember she killed FIVE kids and had planned this for days.

For this woman, I have no problem strapping her scrawny ass in a chair, setting the charge to a measly 200 volts and letting her fry. At 200 volts it would take about four hours to cook her good and if she caught fire, oh well, no loss for the world.

Better yet let us just stone her, that way she might experience just a shred of pain that she inflicted upon her children.

If this jury returns a "not guilty by reason of insanity" they should all be jailed for stupidity.

Israel and Lebanon fighting

I am so sick of the liberal media beating up Israel for refusing to negotiate with terrorists and apparenting believing that Israel is the agressor here.

Let us be clear who started this latest barrage - Hezbollah did, it was their intrusion into Israeli terrority that brought this about.

If Canada started attacking and lobbing bombs into the U.S. do not think for a moment that the American public would stand idly by; we would demand that we bomb the shit out of Toronto, and if that was not enough to wipe them off the face of the earth. Even if it was terrorists operating in their country, we would hold all Canadians responisble and rightly so.

So what makes that any different that Israel? Simly put, the difference is THE COUNTRY IN QUESTION IS ISRAEL!

Nothing else really matters.

So my fellow comrades in the IDF I say blast them all to hell and worry about who is who or what afterwards. Take no prisoners and allow nothing for chance!

A thought

For a while I was posting on my personal website a blog of sorts, and I have thought I would move some of those comments and thoughts over here...although some of the dates will not match up, but so what? If you care that much about dates you have way too much time on your hands Mr. Curry!
